Laser Gum Re-Contouring

Lasers are currently being used for re-contouring or reshaping gums to remove diseased tissue, or extra tissue as in the case of a gummy smile. Gummy smiles are easily corrected and the gum line can be cosmetically reshaped by our laser dentist.

Changing your gum line can have a tremendous impact on your smile, and unlike conventional surgery, laser dentistry procedures involve minimum bleeding and heal very quickly. This treatment involves re-contouring and shaping the gum tissue that surrounds one or more teeth. It may be performed for functional or cosmetic reasons. Also, in some cases, the gum line is uneven - which can make the teeth appear irregular. Our laser dentists can re-contour the gum tissue to create a more even and balanced smile.
